If it’s incredibly bright pink, the monitor isn’t showing it well. I’ve read somewhere that quinacridone pigments don’t photograph well. The flowers are really a more subdued magenta.
This is on eucalyptus hardboard MDF. It’s rather large, which is unfortunate, because I got extreme fatigue. Turns out I have an underactive thyroid. Anyway, the painting turned from careful glazing to a more direct approach. I didn’t want to stand.
I just need to do a few touch-ups and I think I’ll call it done.
