I did a quick sketch before supper last night: Color pencil is a clean way to relax and sketch! My hands don’t get dirty. 🙂 I just propped a vase up on the table beside my chair and had fun drawing it in color.

This is a practice baby, to see which color pencils look best, how to stroke, etc: I smudged the paper between an eye and the nose, then I erased so much I tore the paper, tried to cover it with white paint. Still playing with the Arteza color pencil set. This is one of my chickens in front of the coop I built. She always stands like that and stares me down when I go in the pen. She can actually elongate her neck a little more.

I bought some Arteza color pencils. You know why. Cheap. When I opened them and started looking, my heart sank. Tons of the pinks and violets had the highest lightfastness ratings. Ha, ha ha. This duck is my first attempt at CP: colored or color pencils. I shouldn’t show it, because I had no permission to use the gorgeous photo I looked at. (I’m also still missing my old website)
