I thought ducks had to waddle straight into water. But they can clamber several inches straight up, into a trough:

They’ll be staying in their pen now. I had been taking them back into the house overnight. But the nights will be warm for several nights in a row.
I’m trying to look at the new feathers, etc, to find out which are boys. I can’t tell yet. But I hear some quacks among all their peeps. A definite QUACK sound is a girl.
